I'm Vítor Magalhães. A computer engineer by training, an entrepreneur by practice, and someone who still enjoys understanding how things connect.
Technology was the beginning, not the limit.
I began working in technology when the Internet was still a territory to be discovered. Since then, my path has taken me through networks, security, e-commerce, digital marketing, and several companies created to understand—and sometimes anticipate—the Internet's impact on organisations and society.
But my journey has never been only about technology and business. Music, culture and creativity have always shaped the way I see the world. Perhaps that is why the projects that interest me most live between disciplines and require connecting points that did not seem related at first.

The Internet, before it was obvious
After studying Computer Engineering at NOVA FCT, I worked with PUUG and EUnet Portugal. I helped build Portugal's first ISP and worked on networks and security when the Internet was still a territory to be discovered.
- 1997—2006
The first digital companies
I led Infopulse Portugal, consulted for Portugal Telecom and co-founded Webware—where projects such as telemóveis.com were born—and Netcall, one of Portugal's first VoIP operators.
- 2007—2025
Building BySide
I co-founded and led BySide for almost two decades. We built technology, teams and digital marketing and sales solutions through to the company's integration into CoreMedia. I continued as general manager and later as an advisor.
- 2018—today
Music, culture and community
I am a co-founder of Festival Elétrico in Porto: a meeting point for electronic music, art, sustainability, technology and community. It is also a way to connect the different things I enjoy.

I served on Insparya's board, responsible for digital marketing and technology, from March 2025 to July 2026.

I continue to invest in, build and explore projects connected to artificial intelligence, data and digital transformation through Laika Ventures and SerialLabs.
